Observation: There were no women in the movie The Thing.Question: Why do you suppose there are no women involved in the film?
Answer: This movie is totally male dominated with no female characters represented. As discussed in class, The Thing can symbolize the female organs. The toothed monster also known as vagina dentata reminds me of another movie called Teeth. Horror can very much be described as the fear of what can not be seen.
